About Team Hillsdale:
Team Hillsdale began as Hillsdale Chrysler Plymouth Dodge. It was purchased by the Vann family (consisting of Fred, Tom, Bill, and Bill Sr.) in 1986. Within 6 years, the Vann's had grown the dealership by no less than 6 times what it had produced under previous ownership, with clients befriending the Vann brothers as if "we were all from the same family", quotes Fred Vann.
In 1997, the new moniker for the dealership became Team Hillsdale Chrysler as the Vann brothers each took to running individual dealerships for the family business, with "Team Hillsdale" set as the up and coming flagship for the entire operation, run by the youngest brother, Tom.
During the years of 1996-1999, the accomplishments of Team Hillsdale were extraordinary as people from all over the Midwest sought out this dealership in order to make their purchase. Team Hillsdale became the 3rd largest Dodge Viper dealer in the country…yet even more importantly, became the largest independent Automotive Internet selling operation in the country.
The media embraced Tom Vann and his staff of dynamic associates by placing them in some of the most acclaimed publications and media outlets in the country such as CNN, Headline News, Automobile Magazine, Road & Track, Ward's Dealer Business, Automotive News, INC Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Detroit News, The Orange County Register, The LA Times, The Washington Post, and the NIKKAI Business Index.
Throughout the years 2000-2003, the group at Team Hillsdale nearly doubled in size, yet kept true to it's Midwestern heritage of treating clients like family. Free Service Vehicle Pick-up and Delivery became a client favorite, while Team Hillsdale created two programs never completed before in the Automotive Industry…Team Hillsdale's VLS Program (Vehicle Locater Service) and the introduction of offering all New Makes and models of vehicles to its ever-growing client base.
